Chair of the Milli Majlis Sahiba Gafarova is leaving for the Austrian capital of Vienna on a working visit on 5 September to take part in the Fifth Conference of Chairs of Parliament there.
The event co-organised by the Inter-Parliamentary Union, the Parliament of Austria and the UN will begin with the 13th Meeting of Women Speakers of Parliament. The Chair of the Milli Majlis will speak on the topics put on the agenda during that meeting.
The speakers who are going to attend the Fifth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament are going to exchange opinions about such subjects as the anti-pandemic action, expectations in the post-COVID period, urgent measures related to the climate change, discouragement of misinformation, involving youth in politics and gender equality.
It should be mentioned that the visit itinerary envisages a number of meetings that the Chair of the Milli Majlis will have with the leaders of the participating delegations and several other officials.
And the visit is due to end on 9 September.

Председатель Милли Меджлиса Сагиба Гафарова отбудет в столицу Австрии Вену с рабочим визитом 5-го сентября для участия в 5-й Всемирной конференции председателей парламентов.
Мероприятие, организованное совместно Межпарламентским Союзом, парламентом Австрии и ООН, начнётся с 13-й Встречи женщин-председателей парламентов. Во время встречи председатель Милли Меджлиса выступит по выносимым на обсуждение вопросам.
Спикеры, которые примут участие в 5-й Всемирной конференции председателей парламентов, обменяются мнениями на такие темы, как борьба с пандемией, ожидания в пост-COVID период, связанные с изменением климата неотложные меры, предупреждение дезинформации, вовлечение молодёжи в политику и гендерное равноправие.
Программой визита предусмотрен ряд встреч председателя Милли Меджлиса с участвующими в конференции лидерами делегаций и рядом иных официальных лиц.
Поездка завершится 9-го сентября.
